Inmate medical case histories list inmate name; application number; institution and hospital admission dates; admittance age; physical abnormalities; grade of mental competence; injury or illness description; hospital diagnosis, treatment and drugs administration; examination and improvement notes; and discharge or death dates. A report on sickness at the institutuion (1884) details monthly statistics (e.g., case numbers; types; sick day average; sick inmate average); and annual totals (sick children; cases treated; average illness duration; death rate). Volumes (1889-1903) also contain hospital death lists giving inmate's name, age, death cause and date, and disposition of body; contagious disease and epidemic lists giving inmate name and illness dates; lists of inmates suffering epileptic seizures giving inmate name and seizure dates; tooth extraction lists; craniotomies list; statistical reports submitted to the U.S. Bureau of Education; and a plat of cemetery plots in the Jones Addition to the Union Cemetery at Lincoln.
